Let me start off by saying that I never thought I could get excited about a floor lamp. Based on my prior experiences, older floor lamps are boring and clunky. However, this floor lamp is very is different than I am used to.The one thing I get concerned with is how sturdy the floor lamp will be. I would have preferred a slightly wider base. But only because we have cats that occasionally run around and might knock over the lamp. But other than that, the base would be fine if we didn't have pets.Overall, I am quite happy with what we ordered. The quality is outstanding, and it brings a sophisticated touch to the room.
